Fundraising

About our Fundraising…

We run a fantastic and popular Riding Club and Pony Club. These two organisations are heavily involved in fundraising to help give people the opertunity to develop through the equestrian industry. They do this by giving new and exciting opportunities to everyone in the area, such as competing at local shows and competing in a team Nationally.

Last Year…

We did a lot of fundraising last year through various different events, from cake sales to sponsored rides. Overall, we managed to raise over £1000 to buy a set of brand new portable cross country fences! This was an amazing opportunity as there is nowhere locally that offers cross country training.

We also raised enough money to send a Pony Club Team down to represent Bigland at the Pony Club Center Nationals. Four pony club members traveled down with two horses and they all did a fantastic job. Our very own Beth Linnane came 3rd individually in the competition!

This Year…

  • We hope to send another Pony Club Team down to the PC Nationals
  • We hope to buy a set of Polocrosse Equipment to instruct and train people in the game.
  • We hope to raise funds towards supplementing entries for Clinics and Training Sessions that we hold at Bigland, for Pony Club and Riding Club members. This is so those who are restricted in taking part in extra activities will still be able to take part.

We hope to achieve all this in 2012 and we hope that YOU can help. If you have any ideas towards fundraising events or want to take part then just get in touch!

Teddy Bears Picnic Sponsored Ride

Teddy Bears Picnic

Bigland Hall Equestrian Pony Club had a fantastic and enjoyable sponsored ride hunting TEDDY BEARS!!!  The bears were spread across the bridleway and Fell and each group had to search for the bears.  They were hidden in trees on rocks in amongst mushrooms etc, each group had to take photographs of the found bears and present them on return to the center.

On return to the center a picnic was prepared for all the riders followed by fun Pony Club Games in the indoor school after lunch.  The bears were given to the Pony Club by ‘Say it with Bears’ and after all the activities the bears were auctioned off to raise funds for the Air Ambulance and this raised £251 from the auction. Thank You ‘Say it with Bears’.  Overall we made over £500
The Pony Club is hoping to make this fundraising event an annual event as it was so successful.  Look on our Gallery Page to have a look at the pictures.
Well done everyone who got involved!
